Description
MA860H is a high performance micro stepping driver based on sinusoidal current control technology. Thanks to this technology and the function of automatic adjustment to the motor (current self-regulation parameters), low noise and heating levels, smooth movement and the best performance at high speeds are achieved compared to most drivers on the market. Designed to work with 2-phase and 4-phase hybrid stepper motors.
General characteristics:
Economical, high performance
Supply voltage up to 80 V AC or + 110 V DC
Output current up to 7.2A
Self-tuning technology, sinusoidal current control technology
Pulsed input frequency up to 300 kHz
TTL-compatible and optically isolated input
Automatic idle reduction
16 selectable resolutions in decimal and binary versions, up to 51,200 steps/revolution
Suitable for 2-phase and 4-phase motors
Supports PUL / DIR and CW / CCW modes
Has short-circuit, over-voltage, over-current protection< br>
The driver is suitable for a wide range of stepper motors from 17 to 43 NEMA. Used with various kinds of machine tools such as XY tables, engraving machines, labeling machines, laser cutting machines, transfer machines, etc. Extremely well suited for applications requiring low noise, low heat, high speed and accuracy. br>

Options
The driver uses an 8-bit DIP switch to set the microstep resolution and motor operating current:
SW 1 ┐ SW 2 ├─ Operating current SW 3 ┘ SW 4 ── Holding current (50%/100%) SW 5 ┐ SW 6 │ SW 7 ├─ Microstep resolution SW 8 ┘
Setting the operating current, the first three DIP switches (SW1, 2, 3):
Peak current, A Effective current, A SW1 SW2 SW3 2.0 2.4 on on on 2.57 3.08 off on on 3.14 3.77 on off on 3.71 4.45 off off on 4.28 5.14 on on off 4.86 5.83 off on off 5.43 6.52 on off off 6.0 7.2 off off off
Setting the holding current with switch SW4.
In the OFF position, the holding current is set to 50% of the operating value,
in the ON position, it is set equal to the selected value of the operating current.
Microstep mode selection is set by DIP switches SW5, 6, 7, 8 as shown in the table:
