The driver uses an 8-bit DIP switch to set the microstep resolution and motor operating current:

Setting the operating current, the first three DIP switches (SW1, 2, 3):

In the OFF position, the holding current is set to 50% of the operating value,

Description

DM442 is a digital stepper motor driver based on a signal processor using modern control algorithms. It implements high smoothness of the stepper motor shaft, high output torque and stepper motor resonance compensation algorithms.

• Resonance suppression system and automatic adjustment function of the driver to the motor to obtain optimal motion parameters
• Step division up to 1:512
• Built-in configurations for 16 types of motors
• STEP/protocol support DIR
• TTL compatible optoisolated inputs
• Automatic holding current reduction (adjustable reduction rate)
• Protection against supply overvoltage, phase overcurrent, motor phase misconnection

DM442 is designed for 2-phase and 4-phase motors (14-34 Nema)
