Starting from the 4-th quarter of 2017 Endurance begins manufacturing diode (solid-state) lasers in an aluminum case instead of 3D printed one.
We remind you that Endurance started to sale lasers in the second quarter of 2015. Then a 2.1 W model was available.
During 2015 – 2017 the company has sufficiently advanced in laser technologies.
The next laser line: 2.1 W, 3.5 W, 5.6 W and 8 W is available now.
These lasers are fail-safe and do have the declared power and efficiency unlike their Chinese counterparts.
Most of the Chinese models either do not have the declared power or have a limited working period.
Customers, who tried to spare money by way of buying lasers of low quality on Ali / Ebay / Amazon and other resources, often approach us after that.
In the 1-2 quarter of 2018 Endurance plans to start developing a 10 W laser. We don’t know yet if the laser will have one diode or several to collect their beams into one to achieve the proposed power.
An aluminum case for the laser has a number of advantages:
1) is more durable in comparison with a 3D printed case, which tends to crack and split as time passes; lasers in plastic (3D printed) cases are to be handled like fragile items when shipping, that is not always observed. In this case the purchase arrives to the customer damaged;
2) can have more perforations and pinholes for fittings to easily mount a laser onto any 3D printer or CNC machine;
3) has good heat conduction to insure cooling both a laser diode and a driver. (A 5.6 W laser needs 12 V and 3-4 A, while a 8 W laser needs 12 V and 4-6 A that creates huge heat generation demanding removing);
4) can have two additional coolers installed at the side of a laser diode to create a vortex flow for efficient cooling both the laser diode and the radiator, which is very important to avoid overheating of the laser;
5) allows to build in an actuator to change the focal length. That is very convenient for it allows to automatically find an optimal focus and make engraving or cutting with a minimal grain;
6) allows to rigidly install the laser diode and electronics inside the case to avoid vibration and inaccuracy of the laser beam positioning;
7) guards against backlash and vibration, which take place at a high laser speed in plastic models and degrade the quality of the engraving image.
Like all the rest Endurance lasers, the new line has control via TTL.
Endurance publishes monthly some online sales data:
This is a new principle of information disclosure to show a real attention-getting value of the Endurance lasers.
The Endurance lasers are manufactured in Russia and the USA, which guarantees a high quality of the product.
At the same time, a major asset of Endurance is professional consulting of customers on all matters relating to the company’s products.
8W (8000 mW) solid-state (diode) laser attachment for any 3D printer and CNC machines.
